The very first bag comes to my attention this year is this Ferragamo 2012 SS tote which is, as you see, already spotted on many celebrities. It has a very simple design with some elegant executions to make it a less tote-like look. The soft Ferragamo Vermont leather makes the bag super creamy, The curve top makes more room for your arms as well as making the bag more interesting. Overall, it looks like a better finish of the Alexander Wang's Emile tote.

Bagopedia can't stop looking at this Reed Krakoff Boxer and, worse, Christmas is coming. I have been admiring the RK Boxer bag but haven't had one yet. This color combination is the best yet so far. The clutch will work better with a dress that has a solid color. I am not a huge fan with patterned dresses.

The pattern is printed on python. You know python makes such a big deal in California now. Nobody will notice that this is a python clutch, just isn't legal to trade in California. However, it is legal to own it.

Decision Time: Tod's Vs. YSL

Left: TODS Ava 2 Manico East to West Media Bag, $1,995.00

It is fall time and Bagopedia is looking for a dark green tote. Dark green is the "IT" color of this fall/winter. I narrowed down to these two totes- both dark green in different tones, both have good names, good leathers, and simple designs. Both will last for a long time and have good values.

They are the current colors so I am willing to pay the retail pice. If I waited until sales, I will lost a great season carrying it. The YSL one is $300 more than the Tod's one. I am sure either one is a good choice, but it is hard to decide.

Like this Cole Haan clutch, you can carry it as a shoulder bag as well as a clutch by removing the strap. I always put one like this inside my large tote bags. Bagopedia has no clue how a designer thinks two separated bags can be attached to each other and still look good.

Bagopeida's Comment: Bagopedia's Most recent purchase has arrived today. I had to admit that I saw Pippa Middleton carrying it and then found it on sale at Bluefly/ Both inspired me for getting this bag.

Bagopedia goes out in the evenings a lot. A lot of places that I go are not formal enough to carry my Judith Leiber or any hard-shell-lipstick cases. However, it is also not polite to go to people's house for a dinner party carrying a day tote.

Then I saw this bag. It is a rich PRADA red in pigskin. I never had a pigskin bag so it is a novelty thing for me. It doesn't look different from other skins but it feels a bit different. I also like the bag that can be carried on both sides- They look dramatically different (See photo below). The best way for me to carry this bag is to use as a large clutch. Large clutches are popular now that I can carry everything I need for the day through the night just removing the strap. I don't feel embarrassed to think that I carry a day bag to an evening party.

Even on the weekend, I can wear T-shirts, skinny jeans, with flats in red just like Pippa Middleton. I am totally sold by her look.

The paint effect look is a smart way to use sequins (I know it is not the original design). It adds interests to a totally black (or silver) clutch. The chain is not necessary but nice to have. The hook can also be hidden. It is quite amazing how this bag is put together for this price range.

It is the boiled leather with oil and wax. That makes the leather harder and more brittle. It looks rich and feel smooth. You can even fix a scratch by polish it.

This bag has a simple but elegant design with a linen lining. The execution is wonderful. It totally focuses on the details. The stitches are beautifully done. No wonder why some brands charge more than others for a similar bag.

Bagopedia's Comment: Yes you do pay the HERMES price for this canvas tote, but only HERMES can make a canvas tote that can stand up straightly without any support. Hackberry wood in "whip" style handles are very special but not easy to carry. However, they do stand up and easy to crab. The bag itself is beautiful without lining.

Bagopedia purchased this tote early this summer and has been using it everyday for the pool. I don't remember any bags that I own I use them everyday. It is an expensive bag but it doesn't cost more than other bags considered how much I use it. When I get tired of this tote, I can sell it for a good price if I need to.

Bagopedia starts to look for pieces to add to my winter wardrobe. I'd love to add some fancy items to my collection. So I think I will start with small accessories.

Bagopedia has a wardrobe that has all simple lines, single colors (Almost all black). I don't want to get a large fur bags which I think I am carrying a cat or a poodle. Some small pieces will make me feel more comfortable to start.

This Helmut Lang clutch is a perfect item to get: It is a small piece. The price is reasonable from a great fashion house. I don't want to get a fur bag that cots thousand dollars and later find it hard to work with. I think this clutch says: "I know fashion,and I am not a victim."

Bagopedia's Comment: The color isn't the only season Bagopedia likes about this bag. The school look- a short handle with long strap, the ostrich effect, the price, and the antique metal piece all make this bag work.

Mulberry and Miu Miu make similar bag for double of the prices. Twill lining is not what Bagopedia loves. But for the price tag, Bagopeia can accept it.

Deep and rich colors start to show as soon as the heat weaves are gone. Fall vegetable colors seem to be big this coming fall such as eggplants, dark green, pumpkin, squash, and rich red.

After Gianni's death, Versace went for a different direction that was apart of my tastes. Recently, Lady GAGA wears a lot of vintage Versace pieces designed by Gianni. That makes real Verace come back.

Versace is making the real Versace again which makes me really happy. That is what Versace should be. Bagopedia loves this bag. It is so Versace! This time Proenza Schouler takes its iconic PS1 bag and makes it into a keep all tote. Personally, Bagopedia thinks the bag looks fine. But if you compare this tote to its original PS1, this bag totally loses the PS1's cool look. Also, the handles are too long. Even more, the flap makes the bag impossible to use it. Ideally, you put all you need in the front pocket and put the extra inside the bag. For Bagopedia, I think a keep-all bag should have an easier access.

This bag is roomy without lining. People might find it hard to use because it doesn't have any pockets. Bagopedia uses it as an extra tote for my summer weekends' aways. I use it for extra clothes, towels, bathing suits, sweaters, scarves... I don't use it all the time, but it is nice to have it. You can choose creme, grey, or black. What I like about this bag is even though it is busy- FENDI curve + colorblocking + stitching in the front + different materils + two large metal logos, and super thick handles, it looks like a complete piece. It tells you what a good design is and how FENDI can put different materials and colors together well.

The only thing I don't like about this bag is its name: The Chameleon. I've got the idea that the bag has many combinations of colors and materials, but the bag doesn't change colors. I have seen YSL and CHANEL made bags that change colors themselves. I will call that Chameleon.

Being a really lazy woman this summer wearing casual clothes and running between my house and my pool, Bagopedia decides to go for a little dressy and fancy this coming fall and winter. I really like the look of small hard-shelled leather shoulder bag. They go well with skirt suit types. They remind me of the flight attendant look of the 60's. I filtered all small shoulder bags and finalized 2 bags- Alex and Jason. Both have hard shells with smooth leather and great details. The prices are almost the same as well.

So... Do I go for the bag from a young talented American designer who is famous for his "Lady-like"look or a British legend who was famous for his "cutting-edge" look?

Bagopedia' Comment: Bagopedia is glad that my wise side of my brain is still exist. It was really close that I almost purchased this clutch. I love the bow handle design. The color is pink with pearl shine. It goes with nude color dresses in the summer and the little black dress in the winter. The size is good for me. The design is classy and not overwhelming. However, my wise brain told me it is a light color satin clutch. That means this bag is dangerous. It gets stains as soon as it leaves the stores (I am not kidding!). The clutch's life will be finished as soon as it touches red wine (or anything colored). Bagopedia likes to have fun at parties. I don't want to keep worrying my clutches all night.

You can enjoy this clutch only if you are extremely careful person...
