Bagopedia's Comment: Bagopedia is a material girl- I love all kinds of materials. Some companies keep surprising us by using new materials for bags. Sometimes are new materials. Sometimes are the materials that we never thought they could be used for handbags.


I love this clutch. It is also vegan-friendly. It has an acrylic finish with satin lining. Don't you think it is nice that we don't have to choose only leather for handbags? The design is a combination of classic and modern. The acrylic is really shiny- more like colored mirror. The color of the bag changes because of the positions of each acrylic piece.

Ladies often ask Bagopedia how to choose a good evening bag. Bagopedia's advice is to choose one evening bag with a classic look. The classic look will make sure the bag won't take too much attention from itself or you. If you are comfortable with the one you have, then go for the second one or more. It depends one your budgets. If you have a higher budget, you can go for an even higher end collectable pieces such as Judith Leiber. If you have a lower budget, get some with more interesting looks. Nordstrom and Macy's are good stores that usually have nice evening bags with affordable price tags.

This Jimmy Choose clutch has a classic look with two finishes- gold tone or silver tone. Either you are more a gold person or silver person, you will end up a happy choice. It is pricy but lasts a long time. See the photo below how Emma Roberts carries it:

Bagopedia's Comment: Bagopedia isn't crazy about Jimmy Choo's heavy duty use of hardware on handbags, but it really depends on how a carrier wants to present. Handbags can look totally different from the photos. Scarlett puts the flap inside the bag. That makes the bag look like a really nice leather tote bag. After that, all you see is the beautiful soft natural calf leather. Sometimes taking away is good.

However, Bagopedia thinks Valextra sets the prices way higher than the real value. It is hard to convince Bagopeida to Visa this bag.

It is disappointed that Jimmy Choo would make a bag like this- see the lining photo. It looks like some a copy from Canal Street, not a 2011 Jimmy Choo bag purchased from Saks. Not to mention the color- a tanned leather bag sitting in Filene's Basement store for years.

January carries a Jimmy Choo Blythe Medium ($1665.00 Jimmy Choo). On September 18, I posted a review for the Jimmy Choo Blythe bag that Jessca Biel carried. I said a lot of good things about it. That was a large size. Now I saw the Medium size, I do not like it. Putting the same amount of the gold hardware on a much small space looks very crowded. I think the medium size loses its balance and charm.
