Bagopedia is aware that more and more ladies around me carry Michale Kors bags now-a-days. Moreover, Michael's jumpsuits get a lot of media's attention. Michael Kors provides bags with elegant designs and affordable price tags. This Gia bag, see photo below how Heidi Klum caries it, keeps the elegant design with minimal details and hardware. However, the price tag isn't affordable anymore. The price range for Michael Kors' bags was around $3-400. Now we are talking about $800.00. Why is the price jump Michael?

Bagopedia is shocking to learn that this bag is still not totally sold-out after Kate's visit to Canada in July 01. Bagopedia doesn't think any companies can do a better publicity than this one. Based on Bagopedia's understanding, every bag Pippa Middleton carries will be sold-out in a next couple of hours. Should Mulberry worry about it? Or should Kate worry about her style?

Bagopedia is Back!

Bagopedia spent a week in New York reviewing bags for this coming fall and winter. That is the only reason why I haven't been updating this blog for a week. Bagopedia saw about 200 bags. There are some that I find interesting (Top left clockwise):

Who would mix linen, python, lambskin, leather, and suede in a bag and did it well? That will be PRADA. PRADA isn't afraid of taking risks even though, in Bagopedia's mind, failed some.

This bag has an old-fashion style frame with modern touches- the mix-match, The woven strap, the python accent, and the green suede touch. Something Bagopedia has to give PRADA a lot of credits for her considerations. The python pieces in the front of the bag are to protect the linen from staining. The front bottom corners are the most common spots to get stained especially the linen. This bag is expensive but might have a longer life-spend than you think.

Bagopedia has an addiction- I love Stingray! I died when I saw these beautiful Marano Stingray

box clutches from Anya Hindmarch. There are so many colors to choose from ! Bagopedia loves the texture and the uniqueness of the leather. Stingray is the perfect leather for clutches- it gives a great texture to hold the bag. You can even touch and look at the beautiful pattern if you get bored in the evening functions.

The bag is a little pricy. However, since I paid $5.00 for my previous Anya Hindmarch bag (This is not a plastic bag), Bagopedia thinks that I still have some money to spend for Anya Hindmarch. I have decided to add the Auqa one to my bag collection (Below).

Bagopedia's Comment: Bagopedia is very excited about the re-launch of Paco Rabanne (Really? No, not really). The first step is a collaboration with Comme des Garçons: a reissue of Rabanne's iconic chain-metal handbag.

This bag reminds me of the Pop Top Bags (Below, $125.00 www.escamastudio.com) which is much more economic and environmental friendly. Bagopedia doesn't understand why famous brands are making products that are already existed by charging 10 times more money and ask customers to get excited.

It comes with natural cowhide leather trim and the strap. It also comes with much higher price, for example, the 25 CM, costs $315.00 more than the regular Speedy.

Bagopedia thought it was a Ralph Lauren Bag, then I realized it is a Kate Moss for Longchamp tote. Bagopedia hasn't seen any Kate Moss for Longchamp bags that represent "Kate Moss" styles at all. All bags look ordinary or even boring.

This tote bag might look nice now. Bagopedia is afraid if you put it aside, you will never use it again. You might be able to enjoy it the rest of this summer, but by next year, you will be surprised why you purchased it.

Bagopedia's Comment: An eye catcher with the letters removed

Remove the silly letters and I am sold! Barbara Rihl uses high quality leather and hardware. The detached handles with metal hooks are so beautiful. Perhaps people can get longer or shorter handles since they are easy to be removed. Bagopedia loves the short leather strap that becomes the closure. The zippers on the sides don't do much but add interests visually.

The silly letters can be replaced by a small metal (or black leather) logo on top center. The letters can remain with simpler ideas. Otherwise, the bag is delicious!

Bagopedia has been waiting to see the bags after Tom Ford announced his launch of the lady's handbag collection. Now we see the bag.

There are a lot of gold color zippers with large zipper polls. That isn't surprised as its Ford's signature. The bottom zipper which is suppose to enlarge the room which isn't necessary. The front zipper which also unnecessary because you can't put anything inside. These unnecessary zippers actually make the bag look good with thick and heavy leather that is used for the bag. It gives the bag an unfinished and industrial look.

Tom Ford knows the accessory pieces are not only tools. They are also weapons. He know people who buy Tom Ford bags are not working class women. They are women who are showing their social status. Women who don't go to the grocery stores or take buses. They know showing status symbols are not practical or cheap.

It is a straw bag that I can only use it in the summer time. Bagopedia doesn't live in California where I can carry this bag all year round. I have to store it in the winter time. The bag is extremely large (21" Wide) that I need a large storage for it in the winter time. Why bother?

Bagopedia's Comment: A school boy look that won't burn your wallet

This is the hottest bag right now! It fits the current school boy or boyfriend look with a real low price tag. The bag is 100% leather and made in UK. 11, 13, 14, and 15" and many color choices. The top handle model is also available for just a bit more money.

The only problem is the closures don't come with snaps so you have to close the bag by using the two strap. Bagopeida isn't sure how long it is going to last. The strap's edge is unfinished and rough. The dust of the leather can come on your white shirt.

Bagopedia isn't sure which color I should get. All delicious.
