The very first bag comes to my attention this year is this Ferragamo 2012 SS tote which is, as you see, already spotted on many celebrities. It has a very simple design with some elegant executions to make it a less tote-like look. The soft Ferragamo Vermont leather makes the bag super creamy, The curve top makes more room for your arms as well as making the bag more interesting. Overall, it looks like a better finish of the Alexander Wang's Emile tote.

Bagopedia's Comment: If you like this bag and have the budget, go for it. This bag needs to be owned by someone who has a strong personality. If you are sweetheart type, don't do it. Bagopedia might get it myself if I can find some extra money. This bag is very powerful, noticeable, and eye-catching. Bagopedia knows this is a one-season bag. If I purchased this bag, I will carry it everyday though the summer. It is a nice bag but has a very short life spend.

Bagopedia's Comment: 3 things Bagopedia likes about this bag: The petal pink color, the lambskin, and the long handle height. 3 things Bagopedia doesn't like about this bag: The design is too busy (the large stitches on the handle shows masculine, but the folded leather in the front show feminine), the side straps are not necessary, and the price is very high. Overall, Bagopedia prefers a much simpler design.

In town to promote their new flick “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans,” Eva Mendes and Nicholas Cage were spotted at the Venice Film Festival today (September 3).

The “We Own the Night” actress and her “National Treasure” costar were both more than happy to strike a few poses for the paparazzi as they meandered around the festival grounds.

Eva carries a Salvatore Ferragamo Gancio Levante Hobo bag in Fondente Brown ($1,790.00 Ferragamo). I enjoy "watching" Ferragamo bags than owning them. I love the looks of Ferragamo bags, but I never own one. I always find Ferragamo bags are fancier than my taste. I am a big believer that a bag should only have one focus. To me, Ferragamo bags have always more than one focus. For example, the Lavante bag above, I love the handles, the shape, the and the buckle. However, I don't think it looks good when they all go together in one bag.

I have just reviewed the Ferragamo fall/winter 2009-2010 collection. I enjoy the bags very much. This bag is one of my favorites, but it still doesn't make me want to own it.
