The rumour is that Paula was not offered a new deal until all the other judges (Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi) and host Ryan Seacrest had signed theirs! Paula asked for a huge raise and in the end didn't get it even though all the others were given huge amounts of money to stay with the show!
