Bagopedia's Comment: Bagopedia is surprised this bag is from Lanvin which is famous for its French elegance. The bag looks like a sports bag with lots of convenient pockets- for the water or snacks.  the JL logo that stands for Jeanne Lanvin is very sporty too.


Obviously Lanvin is going for a younger look, but I am not sure it quite works. I don't want to spend 2.5K to get a fun looking bag. I can see Lanvin in cooperation with Nike for this bag, but not Lanvin itself.

The multicolored ones mix 5 colors in one bag: some ever brown on green. The design is elegant but the color choices are risky- something very French. Bagopedia loves the combination that SJP's carrying. The green crocodile flap is to die for. The Silvana series provides many different combinations in materials, leathers, and colors. It goes from under $2,000 to $7,000 which shown on SJP.

She’s always been known for her fashion sense, and today (September 18) Sarah Jessica Parker was gorgeous in green on the “Sex and the City 2” set.

The Carrie Bradshaw actress looked lovely in a sparkly green minidress with funky blue shoes as she strolled past the paparazzi to film scenes for the sure-to-be-hit sequel.

SJP carries a Givenchy Bandana Sac ($1,850.00 Barneys New York). When I saw this bag, I thought it was a canvas bag. I am surprised the whole bag is in leather. It is amazing how the leather can be treated so soft and so detailed. The adjustable shoulder straps are really helpful because lately I have developed an attitude on the handbags' straps. They are either too short for shoulders or too long to carry. The white color also stands out. There is no doubt it is a beautiful bag.

However, even though I love this bag very much, I just can't see myself spending $1850.00 for a bag that looks like a canvas grocery shopping bag.

Comments: Soft to touch it, hard to own it.

Reuniting on the set of “Sex and the City 2” as a foursome for the first time, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis were busy filming scenes in New York City on Tuesday (September 8).

Fresh off of a relaxing Labor Day weekend, the “SATC2” gals greeted one another with hugs as they then headed off to get ready for the day’s shoot.

Kristin Davis (Right) carries a Dior Lady Dior Top Handle bag ($1,950.00+ Saks Fifth Avenue). This bag was presented to Lady Diana in September 1995. It became the "IT" bag for formal functions. Carla Bruni also carries it. This bag has been on my top wish list for many years, but I still haven't had it. I realized that you only see this bag when there are international meetings. Maybe the reason I haven't purchased this bag is because the President never invited me to the White House for dinner! If he invited me, I will buy one.

Sarah Jessica Parker carries a Tod's Bauletto Helmut bag python bag ($2,525.00). This is a nice bag with a really reasonable price. The details are just right for my taste. The color is not my dish, but there are many other colors to choose from. It is a safe bag to own. However, when I buy a bag, I am always looking for "Something Special" about the bag. I just can't find the "Something Special" I need in this bag.
