Bagopedia's Comment: This is a reasonably priced classic Bottega clutch- Bottega signature woven lamb leather with suede lining. I love there is no compartments inside so the clutch can be used multi-purposely. Bagopedia uses it for traveling. I use it as a bill wallet as well as a evening clutch. It is big enough for some bills, cell phone, keys, lipstick, or even a small flat coin purse.

The turn-lock finish gives it a formal look for the evening events. The price tag is really a steal for Bottega products.

I love when Bottega makes simple items!

Bagopedia's Comment: Carrying a pouch during the day time alone seems like a foreign concept for Bagopedia. I did try the large pouches and didn't find a comfortable place for them inside my hand. I love this pouch but only as a pouch inside my bag. There are handbags and pouches. Handbags are for carrying, pouching are for organizing things only.


I am sorry that I don't look comfortable like Victoria Beckham carrying this pouch. I do believe there is an army of assistants behind her carrying her other things.


I think I would have given this pouch a 4 Bag review out of 5. I think I can only give 2 bags if I need to carry it outside.

Bagopedia's Comment: Bagopedia loves pouches. I travel a lot and carry totes all the time. They are extremely helpful.


I love pouches so much I buy them from dollar stores to the expensive ones. I loves this Nancy Gonzalez crocodile pouch. If you have felt the good crocodile leather, it is really soft and light-weighted. They are actually lighter weight than the cow skin. It makes a lot of sense using crocodile for pouches.


I love the color too. I also love the small scales. The smaller the scale, the more desirable they are. This pouch is expensive. However, it is not if you consider it is a crocodile piece with small scales from a specialist. Plus, you can use it as an evening bag.

This beautiful hobo has a woven nappa in a champagne color. It has a snap closure on top. The workmanship is really well done. The handle part is nicely finished too. The hobo comes with a zipper pouch.


The bag is on an incredible sale price.

Bagopedia's Comment: Bottega Veneta continues making handbags that are expensive and hard to understand. This is a bag made of python in three different finishes. 


Should we care? I don't think we should because we are not bag makers who don't need to understand how hard it is to make this bag. We care if the bag looks nice or not. This bag looks more like a real python than a real python. Bagopedia loves exotic leathers, but don't like exotic leathers to look too real. Just like I like to eat fish, but don't like to see the fish's head.

Hot Trends: Crys-Totes

Crystals and jewel were usually used for the evening bags. This fall/winter designers use them on the tote bags or larger bags too. Bagopedia loves this trend. I love to see that totes are used not only for groceries. Totes can be fashionable and trendy, too.

Bagopedia's Comment: The suede fringed bags are not Bagopedia's style, but I sometimes wish I could switch between urban and cowboy just like Ralph Lauren's lines.


This bag is very much like a halloween to me. I won't carry it very often. It is only $48. It is real suede and well made. I know when I need to fulfill my cowgirl dream, I have a bag for that look. There are two styles you can choose from. Two colors too. 


I can carry this bag easily without changing my closet too much. It goes well with a white-T and jeans. Any boots will go with it too.

Bagopedia's Comment:  Bagopedia was looking forward to seeing this collection since the project was announced. It was very disappointing to see the first photo a couple of months ago.


Bagopedia was invited to New York to attend the opening of the Soho Pop-Up Store event last week. The Pop-Up store in Soho features all the Louis Vuitton Yayoi Kusama collection.  The store is attached to the Soho store. I have to say that I am not crazy about the collection. It is cleaver to cross-over with artists to create an amazing collection. However, this collection isn't amazing. It makes me dizzy as soon as I walked into the Soho store. 


I am not sure this collection works for me. The items haven't been crazily taken like Louis Vuitton did with other artists. That tells you something not working for this project.

Nude color shows the leather's quality even more than the black. That is why you don't see lower-ended brands making many nude color leather bags.


This Valentino has the elements for this fall/winter- the decorative crystals, antique designed romantic studs, creamy color, Bagopedia has a weak spot for the fancy totes.

I just don't understand why the price tag is $3K + tax for this simple clutch in calf leather. I understand it is lined in lamb skin between the compartments but the main compartment is cotton lined.

This fall/winter FENDI introduces the 2Jours bags- simple totes with luxury finishes. This huge tote (15" Wide) has a beautiful shape that stands up. The luxurious finishes just tell you how beautiful these bags are. FENDI is famous of its fur and exotic leathers. It is really nice seeing them using the fur and exotic leathers on the bags.

Bagopedia's Comment: This coming fall/winter Gucci introduces Stirrup series bags. Unlike most GUCCI bags, the Stirrup series bags don't have large GUCCI logos or patterns. It doesn't show the brand name or years. It is a good designed and understated GUCCI bag.


Doctor bags style frame closures and single handles are very big lately as well as the antique hardware. The design is current yet elegant.


As Gucci always does, this bag comes different sizes, colors, combinations, and shapes. 


However, a good bag doesn't come with a cheap price tag. The lower price is a leather with velvet combination. The price tag is $2,890.00. If you want one in all leather or even exotic leather. The price goes way up.
